Feeling Precedes Reality

If you scoff at that sentence, it means you’ve never truly experienced it.

I caught myself rejecting my ability to be in a room with people “above me” before they ever could.


Something inside me shrunk at the idea of speaking to the likes of Matthew McConaughey or Nassim Taleb.

It wasn’t insecurity in the shallow sense, it was belief.
A belief that I wasn’t meant to be there.
That I was born into a category that capped what rooms I could belong to.
